Creditors!!

Hello my lovely Divas....was there a thread for this elsewhere??? Wasn't quite sure...so hey, I started this one!!

This shall probably be my last visit before I travel up to London at 6:30am tomorrow morning. We're seeing Creditors tomorrow night....and I am really excited!!
Our hotel is only half a mile from the theatre, which is nice, because I didn't fancy trekking around London late at night.
We have new dresses and Jenny has shiny heels and I've been perfecting make up and hair for weeks (it's bound to rain)....so I've got to pack everything tonight, and hope that the Man makes an appearance.
I have a friend on Deviantart who travelled over from Italy and went to the show for the first 3 nights, and didn't get to meet him , but another friend ran into him one night this week and got a little chat, so, who knows?

I'm just going to enjoy a girly weekend away with my daughter, and if we happen to run into Alan Rickman , that will be a bonus!!

Ooohh, Jackie, sounds exciting!! I hope you have an excellent time. Wish I was there with you - bet we'd have loads of fun, tho' I couldn't promise that there wouldn't be any late-night London trekking going on!!

wow Jackie, I hope you have a really awesome time. I have my fingers crossed for your meeting Alan. I don't have a job so have absolutely no money to be able to go see this, absolutely gutted. Which means I expect a full report Jackie!

Jackie, I agree with Marie, you should give Alan a big kiss from EACH Diva if you meet him! (that's what?? like 20 kisses?? I'm sure you can handle it, Jackie!!)
I'm so envious, I hope you have lots and lots of fun! Whether you see AR or not, just going to London for the weekend with your daughter, going to the theater (or THEATRE!) I'm sure you'll have a blast.

wow, that Anne is brave. I often wonder what I would do or say if I passed Alan in the street (hardly likely since I don't live in london) and in the end, after dreaming up some scenarios where I'm really witty and he's looking at me like he's in love with me, I always come to the same conclusion. That I would just stare at him as I walk straight past. I can't imagine myself ever being brave enough to actually say something in such a circumstance.

Cute story! Sadly, I don't think I would ever have the guts to actually walk up to Alan and talk to him if I met him in the street. Or maybe I would, cause I just know I'd hate myself for the rest of my life if I didn't. Depends on the situation I guess.
Only one thing I didn't like about that story- Creditors is written by AUGUST Strindberg, not Alan Strindberg! But I guess it's easy to get confused from all the Alan-glory...

You could always "accidentally" twist your ankle and fall at his feet, Marie... all while nonchalantly dropping your "phone book"...

That is a great idea! I think I will try that if I should ever run into Alan... The way to a mans heart goes through... the phone book...

I feel the same way. I've had 3 actual "celebrity encounters" (not counting book signing sessions because it's easy to stand in a queue with a book to hold on to!) so far, and in all 3 cases, I've been lucky enough to have another person to break the ice for me. I'll just count on that happening again should I ever meet Alan
