Paul Newman
There is no good place to put this, as it's such sad news.
As I'm sure everyone has heard by now, Paul Newman died yesterday of cancer (apparently lung).
His family was at his side.
He was truly one of our great actors, and a Beautiful Manly Interest (even as he got older)
And, a wonderful humanitarian. His charity has given over $250 million dollars to various charities, mostly children.
So, I just wanted to pay tribute to this great actor (and the most beautiful set of blue eyes in Hollywood history)
(and I'd like to say how much I've always regretted NOT seeing him perform in "Our Town" when I was in New York, we were right across the street, and as a group had chosen to see "Chicago". But, I remember thinking, as I looked at the marqee, wow Paul Newman is in that building! Too bad. )

Re: Other Manly Interests
Thank you Nora, for this. Paul Newman is one of my favourite actors. I think I have seen most of his films and I really liked his approach to his work. Mr. Blue Eyes of his generation. He will be missed.

Re: Other Manly Interests
I have had a Doctor Who marathon this week, watched a complete season. But not a season with David Tennant (Steph!) but the one with Christopher Eccleston. And I have to say that I have just the slightest crush on him now... He's not really what I would call a handsome man, but he does have something. Big nose (that is always good)!

My husband looks like Christopher Eccleston... I'll send him over!!
David Tennant (Steph!) - Aww, how adorable!! We're synonymous!!
I get up every Friday morning at 5 am just to watch Dr. Who... It's my Friday Morning Meditation, LOL!!

He was gorgeous in his day. Reminds me a bit of Marlon Brando.

Robert Downey jr. As he's one HOT PIECE OF ASS! Haha. I loved him as Iron Man. So many jokes. Prefered it to Batman all the way. Oh and he's actually a really good actor as well. He lifts a movie to the next level.
