Re: My Avatars
it's funny that this thread went down the shaving route...i was just asking my hubby yesterday if he thought AR might be able to tolerate a hippie...seeing as i don't shave my legs at all
Being a well trained husband, he said Alan would just be happy to have me, shaved or not...he he he
If only.........

Re: My Avatars
Well done Ensared!
And you delievered a perfect explaination. I am a hippy, I stop everything and wear natural hair everywhere.
I tried the cold-wax thing today on my legs, but it is not as effective as the depilator. Is it possible to use it on more sensitive skin like the armpits? Depilator does not work there.
Does Naybody want to know that? No, I don't think so.

Re: My Avatars
We european women can get away with hairy legs and armpits, can't we? I think I heard someone on Ricki Lake say that she thought that women here never shave anything... Not that I ever would watch Ricki Lake, I of course heard it from a friend who watched it... hm...

Re: My Avatars
I have so little hair on my legs that I do not have to shave. I kid you not.

You lucky thing Semp! When I was younger and quite naive, I was really paranoid about the hair on my arms. They're not man hairy, but hairier than I'd like. Anyway, the school menace/bully (she got expelled a few years later) made a comment about it and I ended up shaving my arms!!! Very silly me! I'd like to point out this was my only incident with her. She was in my class, but I was not bullied, she was a very horrible person though, I can't remember if she got expelled for the time she tried to set someone's hair on fire or the time she threatened a first year with a scaple. Scary stuff

You would think, being so fair-skinned, and with blond eyelashes and brows
what's up with that? I have to pencil in my eyebrows just to see them!!!
You know red heads have more hair per square inch that anyone else?? yea and most of mine's on my legs, apparently

Re: My Avatars
Ah, shaving. Lol. I hate it. I wish I didn't have to. I'm quite fair, but if I leave my underarms more than a few days I have to get the razor out. My legs aren't SO bad, but I still shave. I guess I only do it every month though. If I leave my hair for too long my BF usually makes some sort of comment... he really isn't turned on by it. But whatever. It's not a major trauma I suppose.

yes, exactly. hair is on the outside, and cannot be sterilized, so if it got into the wound, it would cause an infection.
Yay!!! Got something right!!! Woot!!!!
And thanks Magenta.......I've put a lot of effort in....I'd like to thanks my family and friends....but most of all My fellow Divas, and of course Alan....Without him, I would not be here today!!!!
Back to the shaving...I'm like you Nora. Dark hair, with pale skin makes invisible eyebrows (on me) and gorilla like legs!!
I could not let them grow wild......ever.......ever.......ever.....it's just not me.

Re: My Avatars
When i first moved to the Kootenay's, i would get the giggles something terrible when i saw so many unshaven women! It was so completely out of my realm of experience. But something about the mountain air here, makes me feel like my beauty has nothing to do with whether or not i shave...and my hubby is more of a feminist then me so he's never thought shaving was necessary. My legs don't really get very hairy anyway. At the moment i DO want to shave my head, though; i think i have had quite enough of my dreads...heavy and itchy! But how do you shave off something that took so very long to grow???

Re: My Avatars
I think if I had less hair on my legs, I wouldn't mind so much....but it's so thick and black...it's just yucky!!
You're lucky you can leave it...I'd love to not have to go to all that trouble twice a week!!
